Europacable is pleased to share its contribution to Orgalim’s campaign on demystifying enabling technologies. The objective of this campaign is to shed light on how technologies can contribute to the digital and green transition.
Enabling technologies underpin the twin transition, and are the reason why Europe currently has an undisputed leadership in the rapidly growing green tech sector. They allow for improved energy efficiency of buildings, electrification of the energy sector, and support the development of a circular economy
Cable manufacturers notably contribute to the connection of renewable energy sources, the interconnection between countries and the electrification of transport and smart buildings. In order to succeed with Europe’s decarbonisation goals, electrification is essential. Over 44,000 km of new cables must be installed to enable the grid to handle the increased usage of renewable energy.
