The Green Deal Industrial Plan (GDIP), launched on February 2023, marks a historic commitment to build a new clean energy economy, powered by European innovators, workers, and manufacturers, that will create jobs and investment in companies developing cleantech industry clusters around the EU. GDIP funds will accelerate the electrification of our society. This will represent a major opportunity as by 2050, more than 80% of electricity will come from renewable energy sources and integrating a higher share of renewables will require a reliable, flexible and smart power system to continue to ensure a reliable energy supply.
